They were always a monopoly, but now that they are owned by Shutterfly, the website is unreliable, the codes in the emails don't work, and in the unlikely event that you can reach tech support, they make sure to let you know that they are miserable and that they hate you.

I have brought my kids here the past 3 years and this year was the last time I will ever go here. We were left with an ill equipped associate who stated multiple times she had no idea what she was doing.
She was clearly sick (coughing and blowing her nose) and had a very strong unpleasant smell where my kids actually felt uncomfortable. She was unable to snap any good pictures because she spent too much time trying to figure out how to set up the background and camera. She was physically adjusting my kids and actually poked my 5 year old in the eye and she started crying. My 10 month old baby was over it nearly immediately.
Anyone with kids knows that time is of the essence when trying to get a few decent photos. She failed the mission. The few photos she snapped were dark, blurry, and lopsided. So its clear she couldnt even work the camera either.
They wouldnt even reimburse us for our horrendous experience. Im so disappointed by this.
Would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your photos. This place has gone downhill.

It's a sign of no respect to the parents if all of the photos of the child are all badly taken. Out of the 4 photos taken of my kid, I will be able to use none of them because of this.
Preferred solution: To take new pictures, and to respect the time parents take to send their kids dressed up to school.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! At the time school pictures came around, our family was moving to another state.
I had made sure to forward them to our new address in MN to make sure I get them. This was is March. Did I get them? Nope...
Contacted their chat agents which said they resent them out. Ok cool. But no... still nothing.
IT IS NOW MAY. I contacted them again, and THIS time, the agent provides tracking numbers. Of course I know nothing will show the first day... but I go to check today and they are OLD tracking numbers and the last one showed delivered in APRIL.
WHEREEREREE??? At this point Im livid and was determined I was never going to get my children's prints and demanded a refund through their chat system so lets see if that even goes through because if not I will be filing a claim with my bank.
Seems like the chat agents on the website (are they even human?) is the only way to contact them. I tried calling the number provided on the website however the automated menus keeps trying to redirect you out of the line by forcing you whether you want texts on your phone or another phone and wont let you go through until you select either or it will hang up on you. When I finally get through theres nothing...
just quiet... which forced me back to their chat agents. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
At least I have the digital versions of their individual pictures but now I cant get their class pictures. VERY LIVID AND DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY.

Because my three packages are soaked and wet that I ordered for my grandkids, I'm not happy. Whoever delivered them threw them on my porch in the pouring rain. All the pictures are wet now.

I am unsatisfied with the entire process and the 50 minutes it took on the phone to get the pictures ordered. From the looks of the previous reviews, it will be crap.

Why does this company charge 9 dollars for shipping even on free orders? That's an extra 9 dollars per child on the already overpriced pictures.
The pictures come to the school in one package, a package of photos. If there are a thousand students in the school, this company is making 9,000 extra in shipping fees every time they send school photos to the school.
This is a scam! This company sucks.

O my!! The staff that was sent to an Elementary School in Grand Prairie were horrible!!
They arrived late and refused to use the schedule that the school provided. To go along with Teaching times and lessons.
One of the Photographers spent time on a personal call instead of setting up equipment. And was very RUDE with our Special Needs students.

This is the 2nd year I didn't receive my pictures I requested a refund only cause I'm afraid of my childs photos being ship to the wrong place and get into the wrong hands !!! I'd like to have my photos if possible just feel i.shouldnt be obligated to pay for what I haven't received again ! Please ship my photos thank you !
Lost my pictures
I have order numbers and everything, they lost my pictures! unable to get second and third grade picture!
they apologized and asked if I wanted a refund? NO I WANT THE PICTURES!!!

This is my 3rd time having a major issue with lifetouch. I stopped ordering school pics altogether but my daughter really wanted her sports picture this year so, against my better judgement, I ordered them.
Did I receive the pictures? No. I've been through their customer service several times before. They don't speak fluent English and take forever to understand the issue.
And of course you can't just send an email with the information and problem, you have to call or chat with someone overseas by 6pm. Lifetouch will get no further business from us and I will also complain to the school although they won't switch companies
